TK Elevator recently received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its “Smart Elevator Cleaning System,” a concept developed by TK Elevator Korea. This is the fifth Red Dot Award for TK Elevator since becoming an independent company in 2020.

The cleaning system is designed to automatically detect when the elevator is not in use using artificial intelligence. It then deploys a floor cleaning device powered by the elevator’s own renewable energy, ensuring continuous and efficient cleaning without disturbing passengers. The device is seamlessly integrated into the elevator’s landing area and remains undisturbed when not in use. This design is especially important in the post-pandemic world, where maintaining a clean environment is more critical than ever.
